長寿国と言われる日本には、心身を労わる「養生」、季節や体調に応じた食事をとる「医食同源」、湯に浸かり治癒を促す「湯治」など古くから伝わる生活文化があります。また、現代では、生活様式の多様化や科学技術の進歩等により、新たな気づきも進んでいます。
本展では、健康や美容をテーマに実証実験や様々な施策を行う地域が、多様な観点から健やかに幸せに暮らす知恵をご紹介します。
元気に美しく生きるヒントを得て、更なる旅先へとお出かけください。
As the global awareness of health and wellness is on the rise, how do you incorporate health and beauty practices into your life?
Japan, known as a country of longevity, has long-standing lifestyle traditions aimed at nurturing both mind and body. These include Yojo (holistic self-care), Ishoku-dogen (the concept of food as medicine, where diet is adjusted according to the seasons and health), and Toji (hot spring therapy to promote healing). In modern times, new insights have also emerged due to lifestyle diversification and advancements in science and technology.
In this exhibition, regions that conduct experiments and initiatives on health and beauty will share wisdom on living healthily and happily from diverse perspectives.

"Co-creation Onigiri (rice balls)"
Uniting food from all over Japan with the world
Five cities from all over the country will collaborate with “Onigiri (rice balls) Kamiya”, which conveys Japan's culinary wonders. Special onigiri that can only be tasted here are offered using unique local specialities as ingredients. The Japanese soul food “Onigiri” combines the culture, history and people of where it is made and shares it with the rest of the world.

The supreme healing experience by ONSEN of Atami & Yaizu
Atami Onsen and Yaizu Onsen are representative hot spring areas in Shizuoka, located in the center of Japan. Delivering Onsen watar from the source of two hot spring areas. We offer you the ultimate in soothing foot baths that anyone can enjoy. You can also enjoy special products from Atami and Yaizu while having a simulated experience of Japanese public bath culture.
