日本人の伝統的な食文化とされる「和食」は、「自然を尊ぶ」という日本人の気質に基づいた食の習わしとして、ユネスコ無形文化遺産に登録されています。
本展では、その代表格であり、長く愛されている「おにぎり」「お茶」を中心にご紹介します。
食することは生きることでもあり、食と農業は共に育まれてきました。
各地域ならではの海の幸、山の幸を、五感で美味しく楽しくご堪能ください。
The rich blessings of nature, brought forth by Japan's four distinct seasons, are the foundation of its cuisine.
Traditional Japanese food, known as washoku, is a dietary practice rooted in the Japanese respect for nature. Recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO, washoku reflects the Japanese spirit of honoring nature.
In this exhibition, we focus on two beloved staples that have been adored for generations: onigiri (rice balls) and tea.
Eating is essential to life, and the relationship between food and agriculture has always been nurtured together.
Delight in the unparalleled flavors of each region's treasures from the seas to the mountains, while immersing yourself in a full sensory experience.

Uniting food from all over Japan with the world
Five cities from all over the country will collaborate with “Onigiri (rice balls) Kamiya”, which conveys Japan's culinary wonders. Special onigiri that can only be tasted here are offered using unique local specialities as ingredients. The Japanese soul food “Onigiri” combines the culture, history and people of where it is made and shares it with the rest of the world.

Taking advantage of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, five cities in Japan's leading tea and tea whisk production areas will collaborate. We will tell visitors about the appeal of Japanese tea. Visitors can experience the history, culture, and craftsmanship of Japanese tea that has been passed down through the generations. Please enjoy the wide world of Japanese tea with all your senses.
